But I am skeptical about all of the contest winners, because a lot of them are not that great.I am talking about the ELKS in the old west. Many people write about how the President enjoys being back in the woods when he goes to play golf. But that is not true and he doesn't like it either.The only thing he likes about the woods is that he can just kind of hide away from everybody else. Many writers write about how they can get the President to go to the woods, but I have not seen anyone win an es say contest on that topic. If you can get the President to want to be there, you could win a contest.You know how I know the woods are not the place to write about elks? It's in a newspaper. There is no Elks club in the White House. It is a private club for Presidents.Now here is another place that has Elks contest essays that were not written by me. There are a bunch of elk in small towns all over America. They have Elks contests in them that are all for the same old reasons. A lot of the Elks in small towns are looking for guys to show them who is the best at shooting.If you want to go to a place that has a lot of elk that have written about shooting, then go to the small town in West Virginia. Go to the city of Charleston, West Virginia. It has been published in the paper several times.So I will say this to all of the Elks in America: the big cities are not really your type of place to write about. You should probably be in the mountains or in the woods.
